![]() u/puzzlingcaptcha Any recent developments? Would love a bit of advice because I can't get Arch to work on my Steamlink. Kernel sources from here (or any other you want) Thanks to lukas2511 who pioneered the work and amonakov who worked at pushing a bunch of stuff upstream so it works almost out of the box!Ĭross-compilation environment from here: Iw list - note: 5GHz capability of the radio has been removed in later firmware versions If you have an idea share in the comments! turn it into a wireless access point/repeater.attach an external drive and use it as a ghetto NAS.You'll probably also want to adjust /etc/nf Now you can ssh into it using Archlinux default user alarm with password alarm.Īs a next step I recommend adding the following to nf so your custom files don't get overwritten on update: IgnorePkg = linux-api-headers linux-armv7 linux-armv7-headers kexec-tools The device will boot, execute run.sh script and jump into the new kernel & userspace. Unmount the stick, plug it into Steam Link, connect it to ethernet and power it on! Place run.sh in /media/disk/steamlink/factory_test/ and chmod 755 it Place kernel modules in /media/disk/lib/modules/5.4.24/ Place kexec in /media/disk/usr/bin/ and chmod 755 it Place kexec_load.ko, zImage, initramfs-linux-steam.img and berlin2cd-valve-steamlink.dtb in /media/disk/boot/ kexec userspace binary - here at version 2.0.15 since 2.0.20 which is currently in arch repo doesn't work any more!.kexec kernel module to jump into our own kernel. This will not touch the bootloader or the NAND, everything happens in RAM or on the external USB stick. ![]() Why Arch? It's easy to work with, has a large arm repository and userland snapshots are available. The goal here is to have Steam Link running under our own kernel with Archlinux userspace. Before you begin note that there is no HDMI output (and likely won't be) so this is just a tiny headless ARM box. ![]()

![]() The Good: Nope The Bad: Doomsday looks.off Few of the voice cast are badly cast (All I can hear is Spike from Marsters) Awful adaptation Things I Learnt From This Movie: It should have been called Superman/Luthor This simply shouldn't have been made ![]() Why even call it Superman/Doomsday if the latter is barely going to be in the film? Fingers crossed DC don't decide to make Batman/Bane based on the Nightfall story as I'd imagine they'd do the same. If I had never read the comic book I may have found this relatively entertaining but knowing the source material this is an embarassment. This is NOT related to that at all, make no mistake the epic Superman vs Doomsday battle including countless other heroes does not happen and in fact Doomsday is in the first quarter of the film and that's it! This is another story altogether regarding Luthor and a Superman clone and not any of those from the original story. I knew going into this that the story would have to be streamlined for it to fit into 75 minutes but I didn't expect this, I feel I should have. What I mean by "This" is The Death Of Superman/A World Without Superman/Return Of Superman which I consider to be an epic masterpiece. ![]() Where to begin? Now I'm not a big comic book guy but over the years there have been certain story arcs and collections that I've adored and this was one of them. ![]() ![]() ![]() We open with narration from the familiar voice of Bastila Shan, once again played by Jennifer Hale, describing the Sith ideology as a cloaked figure walks through the mist. The only trailer we have so far is barely a minute long and fully CGI with no gameplay. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake - PlayStation Showcase 2021 Trailer | PS5 Deals like that can range from six months to multiple years, so it’s hard to say when Xbox fans will see Knights of the Old Republic back on their systems. The wording there does indicate that the game will come to other consoles later on once the exclusivity deal ends, but for now, we have no idea how long that will be. ![]() Apparently, Sony Interactive Entertainment is even helping out the team at Aspyr to fully utilize the PS5 hardware. Looking at the details given in the official PlayStation blog after the conference, it was confirmed that the Knights of the Old Republic remake will be coming to PC as well as be a PlayStation 5 console exclusive at launch. PlatformsĪs one of the reveals at the PlayStation showcase in September, we knew there would be some kind of exclusivity deal with this game from the start. The team is supposedly looking for new projects, further indicating that, at the very least, they may not ever return to the project. Recent reports by Bloomberg have now come out stating that the Knights of the Old Republic remake is delayed indefinitely after a very poor demo was shown of by the developer. It all depends on just how substantial of a remake it is. Based on that, plus the fact that the only footage of the game they had to show was a very brief CGI trailer, we think this game is at least a year away, if not more. However, the lead producer on the game, Ryan Readwell, is quoted as saying that development on the game has been active “for a little while.” That is hardly a concrete measurement, and game development takes a very long time in the best cases anyway. Neither the teaser nor any following details about the Knights of the Old Republic remake gave us a release date or even a window. The best video game remakes of all time. ![]() ![]() So if you want to create classic, fashionable looks for your Roblox character, this is the perfect starting point. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Additionally, the storage rooms in the original game that could only be accessed by spending a precious power node are thankfully no more instead, gaining access to them requires a bit of enjoyable environmental puzzle solving, like finding the right angle through a shattered window in order to disable a door’s locking mechanism with a pinpoint shot.Īn equal level of accuracy is demanded by Dead Space’s combat, too, which remains focussed on literally disarming (and/or dislegging) each snarling flesh golem rather than wasting ammo on their vestigial, brainless heads or spongey torsos. The benefit of this more interconnected Ishimura is twofold, since not only does it engender a far greater sense of place than the more compartmentalised original, but it also allows for backtracking to access previously locked doors as Isaac’s security level increases over the course of the journey, giving you the opportunity to discover weapon upgrade schematics and various other treasures and making progression feel a bit like a more murder-heavy Metroid. A spectacular new zero-gravity detour that takes you from the hangar bay to engineering is just one area that takes advantage of far more liberating flight controls that allow you to manually steer Isaac through space, as opposed to beaming him in rigid straight lines from surface to surface. For starters, you can now shuttle freely back and forth between the tram stations connecting all the different sections of the Ishimura (once you’ve unlocked them), and you can also travel between certain areas on foot via new corridors like those that connect the flight deck to the medical deck, or indeed off your feet in other sections. Although Isaac’s initial arrival in the hangar and flight deck very closely mirrors the layout of the original, it’s not long until you start to notice some substantial differences. ![]() Not only does the Ishimura look more striking than ever before, it’s also been restructured to encourage more exploration. ![]() ![]() ![]() In stark contrast to her other celebrated Grammys performances (think "Glitter in the Air" in 2010), P!nk stayed firmly on the ground and at her microphone for the entire performance, using only her voice and her message to wow the audience into a standing ovation. "The stones you throw can make me bleed, but I won't stop until we're free. ![]() There's not enough tape to shut this mouth," the chorus begins. ![]() Her performance of "Wild Hearts" spoke directly to the resilience of the Time's Up movement and the broader cultural reckoning with gender issues, sexual misconduct and inclusivity. All it took for the 38-year-old songstress to bring down the house was a white T-shirt and jeans, a sign language interpreter, her voice and a powerfully timely song. NEW YORK - There were no acrobatics, backup dancers or special effects when P!nk took the stage to perform "Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken" at the Grammy Awards. ![]() |
